2024 Property Tax Assistance Program
Property Tax Assistance Program (PTAP) Applications are due by June 1st, 2024
The Property Tax Assistance Program (PTAP) is designed to support Montana residents who are on a fixed or limited income by offering a reduction in the property tax rate on their primary residences. This initiative aims to provide financial relief to eligible homeowners by applying a tax rate reduction of 30, 50, or 80% depending on property ownership/occupancy requirements, income levels and marital status. The PTAP benefit only applies to the first $350,000 of your primary residence’s market value.
The deadline to apply for the program is June 1st, 2024.
